Fenway Franks – Not really a Hot-Dog

Fenway Franks is a term often associated with the hot dogs served at Fenway Park, the iconic baseball stadium in Boston, Massachusetts, home to the Boston Red Sox. While technically a hot dog, Fenway Franks have gained a distinct reputation for their unique taste and the experience of enjoying them at the ballpark.


  • Hot dog buns
  • 4-6 high-quality hot dogs (beef or pork)
  • Yellow mustard
  • Sweet relish
  • Chopped onions
  • Pickle spears
  • Celery salt
  • Optional: Ketchup


  1. Grill the Hot Dogs:
    • Grill the hot dogs over medium heat until they are cooked through and have grill marks.
  2. Prepare the Buns:
    • Toast the hot dog buns on the grill or in a toaster until they’re slightly crispy.
  3. Assemble the Hot Dogs:
    • Place a grilled hot dog in each bun.
  4. Add Condiments:
    • Spread yellow mustard along one side of the hot dog.
    • Sprinkle sweet relish over the mustard.
    • Add a generous amount of chopped onions.
    • Optionally, add ketchup according to your preference.
    • Place a pickle spear on the other side of the hot dog.
  5. Sprinkle with Celery Salt:
    • Lightly sprinkle celery salt over the hot dog.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Serve immediately while hot and enjoy the flavors reminiscent of Fenway Park!
