Greek yogurt parfait – The healthy way of breakfast!

A healthy breakfast should include a balance of protein, whole grains, healthy fats, and fruits or vegetables. Here is an idea of how to approach this.

Greek yogurt parfait:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1/2 cup granola or muesli
  • Honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

  1. Start by layering the Greek yogurt in a glass or bowl as the base of your parfait.
  2. Add a layer of mixed berries on top of the yogurt. You can use a single type of berry or a combination of different berries for a variety of flavors and colors.
  3. Sprinkle a layer of granola or muesli on top of the berries. This will add crunch and texture to your parfait.
  4. If desired, drizzle a small amount of honey or maple syrup over the granola to sweeten the parfait. This step is optional as Greek yogurt and fruits are naturally sweet.
  5. Repeat the layers, starting with the yogurt, followed by the berries, granola, and sweetener, until you’ve used all the ingredients or reached your desired parfait height.
  6. Finish off the parfait with a final layer of berries on top for an attractive presentation.
  7. Optionally, garnish the parfait with a few fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and added freshness.
