Oh my! This is an awesome Hot dog!

Korean-inspired hot dog recipe called “Kimchi Hot Dog”? It adds a delicious twist to the classic hot dog.

This is for that time in the month/year when you want to make something different! Here’s a recipe to get you started:

Ingredients:

  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 4 beef or pork hot dogs
  • 1 cup kimchi, drained and chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped scallions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Grill the hot dogs until they are nicely charred and cooked through. Alternatively, you can cook them by boiling or pan-frying according to your preference.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, gochujang, soy sauce, and sesame oil to create a spicy sauce.
  4. Spread a generous amount of the spicy sauce on the inside of each hot dog bun.
  5. Place a grilled hot dog in each bun, and top it with a spoonful of chopped kimchi.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the kimchi.
  7. Place the assembled hot dogs on a baking sheet and broil them in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped scallions.
  9. Serve the Kimchi Hot Dogs immediately and enjoy!
