The Party Nachos! Or the ones you’ll always love!

Nachos were invented by Ignacio “Nacho” Anaya, a Mexican chef, in the year 1943. Let’s all thank him for the great inspiration he had!

Here’s a delicious nachos recipe that you can try:

Ingredients:

  • Tortilla chips
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
  • 1 cup cooked and seasoned ground beef or shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapenos (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Guacamole, sour cream, and salsa for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange a layer of tortilla chips on a baking sheet or oven-safe dish.
  3. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese evenly over the tortilla chips.
  4. Add half of the cooked and seasoned ground beef or shredded chicken on top of the cheese.
  5. Scatter half of the black beans, diced tomatoes, jalapenos, black olives, and red onion over the meat.
  6. Sprinkle another layer of shredded cheese on top of the toppings.
  7. Repeat steps 2 to 6 to create a second layer of chips, toppings, and cheese.
  8. Bake the nachos in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
  10. Sprinkle the chopped cilantro over the nachos.
  11. Serve the nachos hot with guacamole, sour cream, and salsa on the side.
