An epic starter! Goat Cheese Crostini with Walnuts, Green Chili, and Honey

This is a delicious combination of flavors and it will make everyone go crazy about it!

Serve it at a party or as a starter on family reunions. Something to make them go wow before the main course is on the table: Here is what you need and how to do it:

Ingredients:

  • Baguette or crusty bread, sliced
  • Goat cheese
  • Walnuts
  • Green chili pepper (such as jalapeno or serrano), thinly sliced
  • Honey

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the sliced baguette or crusty bread on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven until they become crispy and lightly golden. This typically takes around 8-10 minutes, but keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  3. Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  4. Spread a layer of goat cheese on each slice of toasted bread.
  5. Place a walnut on top of the goat cheese on each slice. You can lightly press it into the cheese to ensure it stays in place.
  6. Add a thin slice of green chili pepper on top of the walnut. Adjust the amount of chili pepper according to your desired level of spiciness.
  7. Drizzle a small amount of honey over each crostini to add a touch of sweetness.
  8. Arrange the crostini on a serving platter and garnish with additional chopped walnuts or chili slices if desired.
  9. Serve the Goat Cheese Crostini as a starter or appetizer.

This combination of creamy goat cheese, crunchy walnuts, spicy green chili, and a hint of sweetness from the honey creates a delicious and well-balanced flavor profile. It’s a simple, yet elegant starter.
